From all of the information that can be found on the old Remington utility knives, this knife dates from 1921-1924. The tang is marked with the stamp that reads Remington U.M.C. inside the circle. Nothing outside of the circle. The back of the tang is marked R3333. The acorn is marked Scout Knife. The can opener is a one piece. The screwdriv er/caplifter is the short version. There are no cracks or chips in the handle scales. The center liner is milled on the back between the springs. It has been cleaned up and buffed some but not a lot. The inside has also been cleaned up. The blades are tight and the springs have good snap. This knife is a rare piece.
