Circa- 1852-1893. This knife was made by the Meriden Britannia Co. of West Meriden Conneticut. Ladies carried knives like this in their handbag to peel fruit with. The blade has some movement in the open position. The spring has good snap. The tang is only marked M.B. Co. It comes in a brown leather pocket pouch.
