Circa mid 1980’s. This knife is handmade. The blade is marked J. Moede Solingen Rostfrei. It comes with an old business card from World of Knives and a small typed out paper that states that this knife was handmade by Jurgen Moede at his home in Solingen Germany. It talks about the handle materials and steels that he used. It also states that he was a former employee of the Hen & Rooster factory. This knife does indeed have the appearance of a Hen & Rooster of the past. It has not been carried or used. The blades have a mirror polish finish. Down inside the liners also has a mirror polish finish. The liners are fileworked. The handles have nickel silver pins. This little knife is exquisite. The paper that comes with it is dated 1985. It comes in a black velvet hardside case with the card and information on the knifemaker.
