Circa 1925-1942. Marked Imperial with a crown and Providence RI USA. The blade does not have a nail nick. It is spring loaded. Push down on the front of the blade and and it releases so you can pull the blade up. To close, make sure the little bar inside the liner is in a down position and close the blade. It will completely close or you can finish closing by pushing down on it with your finger just like when you release the lock to open. Very unique design for its time. There is one small chip in the handle on the front side. The blade has a mirror polish finish. No pouch or box.
